FREE on-demand, secure cycle parking in celebration of Earth Day.

This week-long promotion is open to all residents and visitors, and offers free, secure cycle parking at all Trips Bikehangars around the country. The units are strategically located in town centres, at popular leisure centres, and key railway stations.

From 22/4/2026 – midnight 28/4/2026, new and existing customers will be able to park for free, once they have downloaded the Cyclehoop app and created an account.

What is Trips?

Trips is our innovative, on-demand cycle parking service operated via our bespoke smartphone app. The system allows the public to park their bikes securely while visiting town centres and other destinations.

Trips Bikehangars offer a secure and weather-protected environment for parking bicycles, guarding them against theft and damage – a key barrier for many considering cycling as a regular mode of transport. In the same way visitors would use a car park, users can easily park their bikes in a Bikehangar on a flexible, on-demand basis, providing a convenient solution for short-term parking while they shop, commute, or simply explore a location.

What is Earth Day?

Earth Day is a global, annual event created to raise awareness and support environmental protection, promoting conservation, and encouraging action to protect the planet. Founded in 1970 in the US, it became a global event in 1990. Its aim is to create a global, united effort to address pollution, climate change, and habitat loss, prompting sustainable changes.
