Cyclehoop are currently installing over 60 secure Bikehangars on residential roads across London. Residents in the area will be able to rent a space in a Bikehangar near them, by logging onto Cyclehoop’s online portal and paying a small annual fee and key deposit.
The Bikehangar offers protection from theft and the elements for up to six bicycles. It is the first bike locker to be granted permission to be installed on the highway. Two can be installed in one car parking space, therefore creating 12 cycle parking spaces. The bike racks inside allows users to lock both their wheel and frame, ensuring maximum security.
The online portal was launched in March. Residents can quickly search and register for a cycle parking space close to them. Cyclehoop will fully manage the online portal and maintain the cycle parking storage for the duration of the contract making it as hassle free as possible for local authorities.
