The Cycle Show 2013 attracted thousands of cycling enthusiasts across the country to see the latest bikes and accessories. Cyclehoop provided over 300 temporary cycle parking spaces for visitors travelling by bike and for the various indoor cycling tracks.
During the exhibition Cyclehoop attended the Love Cycling Go Dutch conference, which was hosted by the Kingdom of the Netherlands and consisted of presentations by Dutch and English VIP speakers, followed by workshop sessions held by Phillip Darnton, Chairman and Chief Executive of Rayleigh Industries.
The conference was very enjoyable and informative. The presentation by Henk Beerten, Mayor of Nijmegen, on Developing Political Leadership for Cycling was particularly interesting. It was good to see our friend Alex Sully at the conference presenting his piece on ‘Reallocating Road Space’.
Key themes included:
- Birmingham Cycle Revolution
- Reallocating Road Space
- Developing Political Leadership for Cycling
- Continued professional Development
- Economic Benefits of Cycling
- Cycle safety, an holistic approach
- Principles of road design – Innovation in infrastructure
Looking around the exhibition, there were lots of new and exciting bike related accessories. One product that caught our eye was the Henty suit bag for commuters. Those commuting to work by bicycle can carry their suit and shoes in the bag, which easily and conveniently wraps up into a ruck sack, preventing clothes from creasing and protecting them from all weather conditions.
We would love to hear your thoughts on the product, as we may be distributing it through our IBikeLondon brand.
