Waltham Forest celebrates their 250th Bikehangar in the borough!

Waltham Forest celebrates their 250th Bikehangar in the borough!

Cyclehoop are thrilled to announce that we have just installed our 250th Bikehangar in Waltham Forest. This means that the borough now hosts more than 1,500 secure cycle parking spaces for residents with limited storage space.

To mark this milestone, our designers at Cyclehoop have customised a very special Bikehangar with an image of the reservoir in the Walthamstow Wetlands. Residents of this very special Bikehangar will be able to enjoy this special design, whilst having the piece of mind that their bikes are safe and dry.

Our MD Anthony Lau popped down on Friday 27th July to celebrate with the latest residents alongside Councillor Loakes, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for the Environment.

Cyclehoop MD, Anthony Lau says;

‘We are really proud to have to have installed the 250th Bikehangar in a borough where we have had a great partnership over the past 3 years. Reaching this milestone is indicative of the increase in cycling across the city as well as the commendable work that Waltham Forest done as a borough in order to achieve it.’

This is a great reflection of the growing London cycling culture, with one in six people cycling and more than half a million journeys made by bike every day. The capital has made leaps and bounds in the development of its cycle infrastructure over the past few years, going beyond simply painting blue cycle lanes on busy roads and actually creating fully segregated cycle superhighways. Our Bikehangars dotted around the city are just one example of this hard work.
