Cyclehoop provides 6000 temporary bike parking spaces during the Olympic Games

London 2012 attracted approximately 500,000 spectators to see the Cycle Road Races, 300,000 packed out Hyde Park in the Men’s Triathlon and 200,000 watched Bradley Higgins win gold in the Time Trials. We are excited to announce that Cyclehoop were the sole bike parking provider for Olympic spectators during London 2012.

Cyclehoop supplied temporary bike parks over the period of the Olympics and Paralympics across six locations in Hyde Park and Green Park. The bike parks were fully staffed and open between 7am and 1am, allowing spectators to conveniently and securely park their bikes during the Games. In addition to bike parking Cyclehoop carried out emergency repairs and supplied pumps for cyclists.

The organisers expressed their satisfaction with our services. “On behalf of the TFL Olympic project team, we would like to thank you and your team for your hard work, commitment, enthusiasm and support during the London 2012 Olympic Games that allowed us to help deliver the best Games yet.”
