The brand new cycle parking designed especially for Victoria Station is now fully complete and ready for use, allowing hundreds of cyclists to securely store their bikes as part of their daily commute.
Commissioned by Network Rail, these improvements to the station will ensure a more cycle friendly environment as well as reducing congestion in and around the station itself, encouraging more people to travel to the station by bike.
We designed the custom made cycle parking facilities for Victoria to include fencing. This securely encloses the two tier cycle racks helping to deter thieves further still. The racks can be found to the front and the rear of the station by the car park and taxi rank.
Adrian Gogay of Network Rail says “Overall we have found the racks have been a source of positive feedback from station users. They significantly increased capacity, coverage by CCTV and a more convenient location allows us to provide a more effective customer service to our passengers. Equally their design allows a more efficient use of space at the station and offers a modern and user friendly experience.”
Used in conjunction, bicycles and trains can help reduce carbon, provides a door to door commute and delivers huge environmental benefits, all of which are issues that Cyclehoop are incredibly keen to encourage.
