Cyclehoop introduces the bike port to Croydon

Here at Cyclehoop, we love to create eye-catching products that make our streets healthier, safer and cycle-friendly. Our innovative cycle parking solutions are designed by a team of cyclists, for cyclists, so we thought why not create something that is directly inspired by our greatest passion?

Step forward the Bike Port, the latest addition to our cycle parking family.

This is an inventive piece of street furniture that provides cycle parking for up to eight bikes. Cyclehoop has designed this eye-catching product to be visible at a distance, sending out a clear message about the importance of safe storage space for bicycles. The Bike Port is made from aluminium with mild steel racks and can be powder-coated in any RAL colour. The sturdy and easy to assemble design makes the Bike Port an ideal solution for both permanent and temporary cycle parking.

In 2017, we installed two new Bike Ports outside the bike shop Cycling Made Easy on the Brighton Road in Coulsdon. These Bike Ports were funded by our client, the London Borough of Croydon. Cycling Made Easy is in a prime location for cycling commuters as well as weekend riders. We hope that their customers will enjoy this eye-catching design when visiting their store.

“Our company is dedicated to raising the profile of cycling in our area. We’ve worked with our local council to support cycling events, and to provide bikes for cycle training and cycle hire. Now with the Cyclehoop Bike Ports, we hope to plant cycling firmly in the mind of any road user who goes past our showroom and sees the racks. Little by little, by increasing the visibility of cycling, we hope to create a cycle-friendly culture in Coulsdon for the benefit of all.”
