Last year, Kingston University greeted Mayor of London-Boris Johnson to launch their Green Growth Bootcamp Initiative. The initiative is a series of workshops held by experts from the University of Kingston to help promising entrepreneurs who want to specialise in sustainable enterprise. Commencing in November last year, It is the latest in a series of London-wide Business Bootcamps coordinated by Capital Enterprise which the Mayor hopes will help around 1000 business hopefuls boost their chances of success.
The event was very well organised and included an exhibition featuring some of England’s most eco-friendly businesses. We were invited to show our products including the Car Bike Port, Cyclehoops and our indoor parking solutions as we supplied Transport for London in the Cycle Superhighways and Cycle Stands for Employers.
The ‘Cycle Superhighways Workplace scheme’ which aims to encourage businesses to provide cycle parking for their employees by supplying a variety of free cycle parking stands. This promotes not only cycling, but increases bicycle security too.
The aim is to build on the success of the ‘Take a Stand scheme’. More than 250 businesses have benefited from the free stands, improving the active travel options for their staff. Cyclehoop will provide a range of cycle stands to TfL – including Sheffield stands, toast racks and vertical cycle parking,shelters and double tier racks. Stands are available on a first come, first served basis, so get your order in early to ensure you get your stands.
